VXi Higher Fidelity & Better Build Quality: VXi

VXi
could be considered a "niche player" in the headset business. Many potential buyers have never heard of the company; but VXi is not a newbie, and is not new to HeadsetHouse.
The company is our neighbor here in New England, and has been in business since the 1980s. HeadsetHouse has been selling some VXi models for several years, and we recently decided to expand our selection.
VXi makes fewer models than its big competitors, but they make important
products, and make very good products.
- Unlike Plantronics, VXi did not supply a handful of
headsets to go to the Moon. However, VXi has made thousands of
headsets for use by by NASA mission control people here on Earth. If VXi is
good enough for NASA, it should be good enough for you.
- The company has innovative technology. They developed
the industry’s first telephone line-powered amplifier, able to
work without batteries or AC power.
- VXi vocal quality is second to none. In fact, VXi has
produced headsets for Dragon Systems, maker of Naturally Speaking speech
recognition software. If you don't want your computer to type
"her" when you say "herd," a sensitive and precise VXi
headset can make the difference. Of course, VXi vocal fidelity also helps to
avoid misunderstanding in people-to-people conversations, whether you
are speaking to someone a mile away, or up in space.
Here's what impresses us (and should impress you) about VXi headsets:
- Voice Quality.
Transmission and reception have higher fidelity than most headsets. VXi's
noise-canceling microphones are particularly effective, so people hear your
voice, and not other voices or noises around you. The VXi BlueParrott®
wireless Bluetooth® headset, designed specifically for
high-noise environments, has become the #1 headset for professional truck
drivers. It's also great for noisy convertibles.
- Build Quality.
Even before you put a VXI headset on your head and start to speak and
listen, you'll be impressed. Just try adjusting the microphone boom angle,
set the gooseneck, adjust the headband, and you know you're handling a
high-quality device -- not something that will start to fall apart in a few
months.
- Warranty.
VXi headsets are built to last for a long time, and most models have a generous two-year warranty. VXi
will repair or replace any in-warranty VXi headset or amplifier with a
like-new remanufactured VXi product of equal or greater value – complete
with new ear cushions and windscreens – free of charge.
- Comfort.
Designed for all-day comfort in the workplace. You can keep a VXi headset on
your head all day long, with no need to remove it to "take a
break." It becomes part of your body, and you'll use it without
thinking about it.
- Compatibility.
VXi headsets are compatible with VXi, Plantronics and GN Netcom/Jabra
amplifiers and direct connect cords. The VXi feature-filled
Everon amplifier/switchbox works with VXi, Plantronics
or GN Netcom/Jabra headsets.
- Value.
VXi headsets are generally less expensive than equivalent models from the
"big two" headset brands, but offer features and performance they
can't match.
